狗狗最高发的10大癌症！
狗狗是我们人类最重视的动物伴侣，陪伴我们走过许多快乐的时光，不幸的是在其一生中有半数的狗宝贝，必须面对癌症的威胁，而25%会死于癌症 (Acta Vet Scand,2005;46(3):105-120)。有些高风险品种则较一般品种容易罹癌。
一般品种的癌症风险评估，每年定期抽血检查犬癌敏一次即可，高风险品种则建议缩短时间，每6个月定期抽血检查一次。
那么，不属于高风险品种的狗是否就不会罹患癌症呢?
不是的，因为有许多类型的癌症发病率和品种的不同没有关系。另外，专家也告诉我们，混种犬和一般品种的罹癌风险是一样的，甚至风险更高。

Cancer is awful for the patient as well as everyone else involved. Unfortunately, our four-legged canine friends are very susceptible to this deadly disease. This article includes the dogs that are most likely to get cancer, the types of cancer that are common with the breeds and methods to detect the presence of cancer. Just like humans, it's best to discover the cancer as early as possible. While cancer is incurable, the chance of survival increases significantly if it's detected early.

如何预防宠物狗得癌症
由于癌症的罹患率随着狗狗的高龄化持续增加，宠物癌症的照护及预防自然也和国外先进国家一样，成为国内饲主最关心的宠物健康课题。
形成癌症的多种原因大多与生活习惯息息相关，为了能预防及早期发现癌症，除了要减少环境中罹癌的因子，给予适切营养，并适时给予抗氧化营养补充品外，也要定期作癌症健康检查，尤其定期癌症健康检查更是早期发现癌症的关键。
定期癌症健康检查：
1 ? 10岁的狗狗至少每年一次，包含抽血肿瘤标志检查，粪便检查和血液检查。
5岁以上开始要迈入癌化高峰期，即使外观健康状况看起来正常的情况下，还是应该要做较详细的全身健检，项目应包含肿瘤标志、血液、胸腔X光和肝肾功能等检查，若属于癌症高风险品种，或是无作节育手术的狗狗，建议可缩短肿瘤标志检查的时间，每隔三个月至六个月检查一次。
10岁以上宠物最好可以半年检查一次，才能及早发现病状及早治疗。
进行绝育结扎手术：
若不打算让狗狗繁殖后代，进行绝育，结扎手术可预防性荷尔蒙导致的癌症。例如犬猫常见的乳腺肿瘤和子宫蓄脓常发生在没有绝育的老年动物身上。母犬第一次发情前进行绝育手术可以降低乳腺肿瘤的发生也可以预防因遗传所造成的癌症发生率。
改善或避开环境中的罹癌因子：
环境中的罹癌因子是犬猫罹患癌症的主要原因之一，如放射线、化学药剂、除草剂、农药、过期变质的食物、有菸环境、工业汽机车废气，甚至是过多的紫外线，应尽量使狗猫远离有害的物质。
保持良好的生活习惯：
良好的生活习惯不但可以保持狗狗活力充沛，更能够维持他的健康。均衡的饮食、让狗狗食用优良的饲料，不要喂食过期、腐败的食物，定时定量的户外运动以及大小便，并且保持狗狗的环境安稳，让狗狗保持情绪良好。
补充抗氧化营养品：
由于癌症的发生和动物体内细胞清除自由基能力下降有关，适时给予补充抗氧化营养品，尤其是含有OMEGA-3脂肪酸及左旋精胺酸的複方鸡尾酒式抗氧化营养品，可以有效提升清除自由基能力减低患病的机率。
