Sadly, pet rats don't get as much love as they deserve. They are often mistaken as gross and filthy animals, in part due to their historic role in spreading the plague. Domestic rats, however, groom themselves just as much as cats do. Rats are also incredible at learning tricks quickly. For example, they can recognize their own names, roll over or play catch just like dogs. They are also very affectionate with other rats and their favorite humans, too!
