climate-controlledstallswithshowers,anddogswillloungeinhotelsuites
featuringflat-screenTVs.Aspecialspaceforpenguinswillallowthem
matingprivacy.
肯尼迪机场的这座动物航站楼名为“方舟”灵感来自《圣经》中诺亚(Noah)
所造的船规格远超普通航站楼标准马厩和牛棚十分豪华气候可控还可以
淋浴;狗狗则居住在配有平板电视(flat-screenTV)的酒店套间里;对于企鹅还设
有特殊空间保障它们亲密接触的隐私。

“方舟”号称是世界上第一个动物航站楼。
Settoopennextyear,the$48m,178,000-square-foot
(16,500-square-meter)shelterandquarantinefacilitywilltakeineverykindof
animalimaginable—evenanoccasionalslothoraardvark.FromTheARK,
they’llheadtobarns,cages,racetracks,showsandcompetitionvenuesinthe
UnitedStatesandabroad.
“方舟”造价4800万美元占地17.8万平方英尺(16500平方米)预计2016
年对外开放。这座集栖息处和检疫为一体的设施可容纳你能想象得到的任何动物
即便是偶尔来只树懒或非洲食蚁兽也毫无问题。它们将从“方舟”启程前往美国及
海外的畜棚、兽笼、赛马场、展览以及比赛场馆。

diseases.AndTheARKisdesignedtomaketheirstayaspleasantaspossible,
withhay-linedstallsforupto70horsesand180headofcattle,plusanaviary
andholdingpensforgoats,pigsandsheep.
很多来到这里的动物需进行一段时间的隔离以确保它们不携带任何传染性
疾病马匹的隔离期约为三天。“方舟”的设计使动物们尽可能舒适地居住。舍棚
中的干草可供应70匹马和180只牛。另外还有大型鸟舍以及猪圈和羊圈。
