Announcing: Clearbridge & unetworks Merge

We have some very exciting news to share with all of our customers and colleagues! As of October 2020, we have joined forces and merged with another successful, local IT company, unetworks. We are now officially one company operating under the name Clearbridge Business Solutions.

Check out this video announcement we put together, as we chatted with Ryan Kononoff—our founder & CEO—and unetworks founder Dan Buhler on what this merger means for the business and its customers.

To help answer some of the questions we know many of you are thinking, we’ve put together a short FAQ below. If we’ve missed something and you’re still left with questions, please reach out—we love answering questions.

Will I still be working with the same people?
Absolutely! While our team has grown through this merger, those you already know and trust will continue to support your network, your systems, and your people. In addition, you’ll also have access to more skills and experience through the expanded [combined] team of Clearbridgers.

What if I like who I was dealing with before?
We’re so happy you enjoy working with our people, and as mentioned, you’ll continue to have access to the same great team you’re familiar with! We’ll also be working hard in the background to ensure your great experience with our people is sustainable and continues long into the future.

Will the technology we use change?
As your partner in technology, it’s our job to make sure you’re using the technology that helps you do your best work. We will continue to maintain that philosophy and approach going forward as we approach every decision when it comes to technology.

Will support hours be the same?
If you are a unetworks customer today, you’ll have access to our team for an extra hour each day, starting at 7am PST. If you’re a Clearbridge customer, you’re already used to our great hours and emergency service. There will be no changes to that.

Will the support process be the same?
It will be the same for now. You will have access to the same team you’re used to with same communications methods as before! Over the coming months, we look forward to introducing you to our new team members.

WHAT ARE RYAN AND DAN’S ROLES GOING FORWARD?

Some may be wondering about the leadership structure as two technology company founders operate in one business. Ryan Kononoff will be responsible for driving the vision of the business forward as CEO, with the support of the existing leadership team and newly appointed CIO.

Dan Buhler (Founder of unetworks) will become the Chief Information Officer (CIO) at Clearbridge Business Solutions. As CIO, Dan will be responsible for helping us navigate decisions around the technology we use to best support, protect, and drive your businesses forward.

WRAPPING UP

As Ryan mentions in the video, 2020 has been a year filled with challenges and change. This year forced us to stay nimble, become even more innovative, and to be more focused than ever. In doing so, we’ve uncovered several opportunities this merger puts us in a better position to execute on, while we continue to work hard to make 2020 the best year ever for Clearbridge, and you, our customers.
