Service suspended on all flights operated by Airbus A319/A320 until further notice.

The pet will be housed in an aircraft hold beneath the passenger cabin in a safe and temperature-controlled environment. Please note that;

Dogs and cats are the only types of pets accepted.Please notify us a minimum of 24 hours in advance prior to your departure date by contacting our call center or ticketing office.For international travel, pet owners are responsible for providing all the necessary valid documents required by national authorities (e.g. import/export/ transhipment license, a veterinary health certificate, rabies vaccination letter, pet’s passport).Pet owners are responsible for providing an appropriate standard hard kennel/container. We encourage you to follow requirements of pet container before proceeding to the airport.Collars/vest/harnesses/clothing and electronic GPS trackers should be removed from the pets prior crating. If GPS trackers or any other recording equipment are used, ensure batteries installed in device must not exceed 2g for lithium metal batteries and 100 Wh for Lithium ion batteries.
Note: If passengers wish to keep on the pet’s collars, please ensure it is fitted properly around pet’s neck and not loose.

The following list of Brachycephalic breeds (snub-nosed dogs and cats) and some dog and cat breeds are not allowed to be accepted as checked baggage (AVIH) or transported in the cargo compartment for the reason of safety and well-being of these special kinds of pets.

Note: These restrictions also apply to cross-breeds of the above-mentioned breeds.

Acceptance :
Domestic - All flights to Chiang Mai, Phuket , Samui and all flights operated with AT72.
- Pet must be at least 8 weeks old.
- According to the announcement by the Trat provincial Livestock, the owners need to prepare an official permit for the movement of animal issued by local government veterinary authority before traveling with their pets to/from Trat.
International - All routes except the Maldives (Allow cats only). Apply Bangkok Airways acceptance procedure with local customs requirements of port of origin/transfer/transit/destination, animal age and health requirement.

Thailand : Pet must be at least 4 months old.Other Countries : Apply local customs regulations

Note : Some aircraft do not have the appropriate facilities for AVIH service. Please contact one of our offices or our call centre for more details.

The airline regrets to inform you that pets that are pregnant, injured, ill or with strong odour will not be accepted.The owners must accept all risks associated with air travel such as injury, sickness or death of their pets during the journey.AVIH for International transfer to Domestic is not acceptable.If accepted, the weight shall not be included in your free baggage allowance and excess baggage charge will apply. The total charge weight will include the pet and the cage or any appropriated container.
